WeekWell is a household meal-planning tool. It isn't a doctor, a dietitian or a food-safety inspector. This page explains the limits of what we do and where your judgement still matters.

Not medical or nutritional advice

The plans, recipes and tips in WeekWell are general guidance to help you feed your household. They are not medical, dietary or nutritional advice. If anyone in your home has a medical condition, is pregnant, is managing weight clinically, has an eating disorder, or is on a prescribed diet, please speak to a GP, registered dietitian or qualified nutritionist before changing what they eat.

Allergies and intolerances

We use the allergy and dietary information you give us to plan meals as safely as we can. Allergy information shown in WeekWell is a guide based on the ingredients we know about — manufacturers change recipes, and "may contain" warnings can appear on packaging at any time.

If anyone in your household has a serious allergy or intolerance, always read the packaging of every ingredient yourself. Don't rely on WeekWell as the only check. When eating out or accepting food from someone else, ask directly.

Food safety is your responsibility

We follow recognised UK food safety principles — captured in our own WeekWell food safety knowledge base — when we generate cooking, storage and reheating guidance. That guidance is there to support you — it doesn't replace your own care in the kitchen. You are responsible for:

  • Storing ingredients at the right temperatures.
  • Cooking food until it's properly cooked through.
  • Cooling, storing and reheating leftovers safely.
  • Avoiding cross-contamination between raw and ready-to-eat food.

For the latest UK guidance, the Food Standards Agency is the authoritative source.

AI-generated content

Plans, recipes and suggestions are generated by AI. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Read each recipe through before you start cooking and use your own judgement — especially around quantities, cooking times and substitutions. If something looks off, tell us via the in-app feedback so we can investigate.

Portion sizes and nutrition values

Portion suggestions are estimates based on the household details you've provided. Any nutrition information shown is approximate and shouldn't be used to make medical decisions or for precise calorie or macro tracking.

Children and vulnerable groups

Take extra care when planning meals for under-5s, pregnant people, older adults, or anyone who is immunocompromised. Some foods carry specific risks for these groups (for example raw or lightly cooked eggs, certain cheeses, honey for infants under one, raw fish). Follow FSA guidance for the relevant group when in doubt.

No guarantees

WeekWell is provided on an "as is" basis. We don't guarantee any specific health, weight, fitness or wellbeing outcome from following the plans we generate.
